Vote for those lapping each other if you want problems — Makinde takes swipe at APC candidate

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has taken a swipe at APC governorship candidate Sharafadeen Alli while urging residents to vote wisely in the forthcoming governorship election.

Makinde’s comment came after a video of Alli appearing to lap a student journalist during an interview went viral, sparking reactions from Nigerians on social media.

Speaking at an event, Makinde said, “If you like, vote for those people lapping each other, that’s where your problem will start; they will first forget you. You better vote for who we said you should vote for.”

The governor urged Oyo residents to carefully consider their choice at the polls, warning that electing the wrong candidate could have consequences for the state.
